The role of the Community Team
Community Team members act as our local representatives on the ground. They provide a link between the Council, the community, Elected Members, Town and Parish Councils and partner agencies to improve neigbourhoods and swiftly address issues that impact on citizens’ quality of life. The Team includes:
Community Link Officers
Each Community Link Officer is assigned to an area of the district, covering a number of wards. They undertake the initial investigation of any community issue and will aim to resolve the matter at the first point of contact. Community Link Officers work collaboratively with partner agencies, and will escalate complex issues to specific service areas as appropriate to achieve the best outcomes for citizens.
Community Enforcement Officers
Community Enforcement Officers tackle issues such as fly tipping, graffiti, noise, littering, dog fouling, stray dogs and abandoned cars.
