Drainage
An overflowing manhole, blocked gullies and general road flooding are the responsibility of North Yorkshire County Council, possibly in conjunction with Yorkshire Water.
Yorkshire Water is responsible for public sewers and burst water mains.
Rivers fall under the jurisdiction of the Environment Agency. They provide a 24-hour Floodline advice and information service for floods and flood warnings.
The Council is responsible for the drainage on its own property, such as car parks. Please submit an Enquiry Form if you would like to report an issue.
Town and parish councils are responsible for their own amenity areas.
Roadside ditches and private sewers or drains are the responsibility of the landowner.
