Doing business with the council
'Procurement' is the process of acquiring goods, works and services, covering both acquisition from third parties and from in-house providers. The procurement process spans the whole cycle from identification of needs, through to the end of a services contract or the useful life of an asset.
For information on our approach to procurement, please see the Guide to doing business with partner Councils (PDF, 11 pages, 366kb)
We have a duty to ensure all accepted suppliers are monitored throughout the contract period and are subject to several performance reviews.
