Access to meetings
For transparency, meetings of Full Council and Committees are open to the public.
A recording is made of each Council and Committee meeting. The recording is available on the webpage for the meeting.
Members of the public are permitted to film or record Council meetings, to which they are permitted access, in a non-disruptive manner. The Chair of the meeting has the authority to stop a meeting and take appropriate action if any person contravenes these principles or is deemed to be recording in a disruptive manner. The right of the Council to exclude the press and public from parts of Council meetings for confidentiality reasons remains unaffected.
Please see our Protocol on the filming and recording of Ryedale District Council meetings.
Some items on an agenda may be listed as exempt. These items are not discussed in public. Our Constitution sets out the rules around exempt items.
To find out how to ask the Council a question, visit the public participation in Council meetings page.
Public announcements about meetings

That includes doing risk assessments for the venues where we hold our meetings. We publish these risk assessments here.
