Buses - information and advice

Main Route Bus Services

The main bus routes through Ryedale are provided by Transdev Coastliner who run regular buses through Malton from York and Leeds and on to Pickering, Whitby and the Moors. Also to the coast at Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. For more information go to the Transdev Coastliner website.

Stephensons of Easingwold

Stephensons provide regular local bus services between Helmsley, Hovingham, Castle Howard and Malton, Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley, Easingwold and York, Helperby, Tholthorpe, Linton-on-Ouse and York and Malton and York. See website for timetable and fare details.

Moorsbus

Moorsbus is a bus service that is designed to help people explore the North Yorkshire Moors and in doing so reduce the number of vehicles that use the roads in and around the Moors. Coordinated by the National Park authority and using local bus operators, all services operate on Sundays and statutory Bank Holidays (including Good Friday and Easter Saturday) from 3 April to 30 October, plus Wednesdays from 6 July to 28 September.
