Direct Debit
The safest and most convenient way for you to pay is by Direct
Debit. You save time and there are no cheques to write, no cash to
pay, no posting letters, or queuing at counters. Payments are paid
for you automatically by your bank or building society. And you can
always be assured with Direct Debit that you are guaranteed an
immediate refund in the unlikely event of a mistake being made.

Processing your Payments
How will I know if my payment has been successful?
When you have finished entering your card details, and confirm
you want to continue with the payment, there will be a short delay
while your card details are validated. If your payment is
successful, a receipt will be displayed which contains a
transaction reference number. Please make a note of this number or
use the print facility in case you need to contact us about your
payment.
|
Is paying Online safe?
Yes. Your transaction will take place within a secure payment
system, which means the transaction is encrypted between your PC
and the council's payment service. This uses a technology called
Secure Socket Layer (SSL), a standard supported by major internet
browsers. All your personal and card details are protected by
encryption, when transmitted over the Internet. Your card details
are not stored by the Council, they are maintained by the Council's
professional payment partner.
