Direct Debit
The safest and most convenient way for you to pay
your Council Tax and other regular payments to the Council is by
Direct Debit.
You save time and there are no cheques to write, no cash to pay,
no posting letters, or queuing at counters. Payments are paid for
you automatically by your bank or building society. And you can
always be assured with Direct Debit that you are guaranteed an
immediate refund in the unlikely event of a mistake being made.
New Council Tax Direct Debit Date: we have now
made the 15th day of the month available as a direct debit
collection date for all ratepayers. Previously, direct debit was
only collected on the 1st day of the month. This extra date has
been introduced for those customers who prefer to make payments in
the middle of the month.
If you would like to pay your Council Tax by direct debit on
either the 1st or the 15th of the month, please telephone Revenues
Services on 01653 600666. Please have your Council Tax account
reference number and your bank account details to hand.
