How to reach us at Ryedale House
By Car: Ryedale House is between Old
Malton and Malton on Old Malton Road, the B1257.
By Public Transport: Malton is on the main
Scarborough to York railway line and is served by a number of
bus lines. Please go to the

On Foot: Ryedale House is
approximately one kilometre from the centre of Malton.

For the payment of council tax, planning and building control
fees or the purchase of car parking permits and many more Council

Building Control Offices
Building Control Services in Ryedale are provided by
North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership which provides a
building control service to Hambleton, Ryedale and Selby

reserved for disabled visitors. There is a lift to the first
floor office where Building Control is located. There
are toilet facilities for disabled visitors.
Tourist Information Centres

TICs)
Accessibility:
Pickering TIC is suitable for
wheelchair access, with staff on hand to assist with opening
entrance door. Disabled parking bays are available in the
short-stay 'Pay & Display' car park on the opposite side of
road. The car park also has a
WC
equipped for disabled visitors with Radar Key
access. The
TIC is equipped with a
portable induction loop.
Malton TIC has wheelchair
access available through side entrance. Staff are on hand to open
the door and assist when summoned by a bell alert. Time-limited car
parking is available around the museum (subject to availability).

Helmsley Information
Centre has wheelchair access and a disabled toilet, also a
loop system for the hard of hearing.There is a wheelchair available
for loan to our visitors who require one for use off-site if
needed. The castle has approx 70% wheelchair access and a screen
to make a virtual tour of the castle, this is situated in
the West Range. A wheelchair is available on site.
