Ryedale District Council

Countryside volunteers

NYCCVolunteers may help to look after the local countryside in a variety of ways. These can include practical work such as repairing footpaths, helping at events, helping visitors to enjoy the area and carrying out visitor surveys.

This is a voluntarily service available to anyone who would like to take an active part in looking after the countryside.

Countryside volunteers undertake countryside management projects to benefit important wildlife species and habitats in the Ryedale area. For further information contact the Countryside Officer at Ryedale District Council on 01653 600666 or by emailing Forward Planning.

Information on this service is also provided by North Yorkshire County Council. For further information please visit their website.
