Flooding and severe weather are placed either high or very high on the community risk register. North Yorkshire is especially prone to flooding and bouts of extreme weather. The Local Resilience Forum through partnership working, has done its very best to plan for and mitigate the effects.
This year’s Get Ready for Winter campaign has now been launched and is available on the Met Office website. This site provides advice on how communities and individuals can prepare for winter weather Throughout the winter, the website will be updated to take account of the weather situation.
