Our Lives Our Plans aims to bring services and young people
together so that they can work together to develop services for
children and young people in Ryedale.
Summer Activities for Young People in
2010
Summer Festival of Fun in Ryedale
Ryedale District Council in conjunction with York Playspace
have a range of summer activities for 5-12 years, including arts,
crafts, games, sports and lots of fun. A list of activities is
listed below:
Play Rangers
Ryedale District Council are working with York Playspace to
bring Play Rangers to playing fields and open spaces around
Ryedale. The sessions are aimed at age ranges of 5-13 years of
all abilities.
The Play Rangers organise a range of play activities including
sports and games encouraging children to make the most of what each
site offers, including the local wildlife.
The programme is funded by the Big Lottery and it is
completely FREE for children to attend.
There is no need to book just turn up and have
FUN!! Morning sessions are 10.30 am to 12.30
pm. Afternoon sessions 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. Children
will be supervised while taking part in the activities but York
Playspace cannot be responsible for ensuring that children remain
on site. Please make sure your children have somewhere safe
to go when they leave.
Ryedale Extended Schools and Children's
Centre Holiday Programme
Take a look at the Ryedale Extended Schools
and Children's Centre holiday programmes, there are loads of
activities for children of all ages and family activities too. Many
are FREE and if there is a charge and you qualify for ME TOO
vouchers, you can use them at all of the organisations listed. Lots
