Evictions
I'm a Housing Association Tenant with
Rent Arrears and I'm worried about Eviction
First of all contact your Housing Association and try to set up
a payment plan to pay off your arrears in regular manageable
amounts, then contact the Housing Options Team by email or
telephone 01653 600666 to make an appointment for an interview with
the duty officer. Appointments are usually available every
weekday except for Wednesdays at Ryedale House in Malton.
The officer
can advise you of your rights and may be able to assist you to
claim benefits which you are entitled to, they may also refer you
to other agencies who can help with debt problems, support you at
court or negotiate on your behalf.
Ryedale District Council does not have any housing stock so
there are no council houses in the Ryedale area, all social housing
is provided by housing associations.
