come into contact with, through the services we provide.

vulnerable adult is at risk of harm then you should contact

email social care. without
delay.
How to contact the NSPCC if you are
concerned about a child
If you're worried about a child you can also get in touch with
the
NSPCC. Helpline, 0808 800 5000 or email help@nspcc.org.uk.
You can contact the NSPCC helpline about any aspect of a child's
safety or wellbeing. Callers can remain anonymous if they want to.
Some parents call for advice about the best thing to do for their
child, other people have seen something that they feel uneasy about
and just want to talk to someone. This may lead to the matter being
referred to North Yorkshire County Council or the Police for them
to take it further.

agencies to ensure that we protect children and vulnerable

Vulnerable Adult
If you're worried about a vulnerable adult visit North
Yorkshire Council Council or if the adult is in danger
contact North Yorkshire
Police on 0845 6060247. If the adult is not in immediate
danger contact North Yorkshire County Council Customer Services on
0845 0349410.
What is North Yorkshire Safeguarding
Children Board?
The North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board meets four
times a year to make sure that there are sound arrangements for
protecting children in North Yorkshire. This body has been given
improved powers by the Children Act 2004 to make sure that the
multi-agency arrangements to protect children are sufficiently
robust.
