Energy Efficiency and Advice
Around a third of the UK's CO2 emissions come from
the energy used for heating, lighting and appliances. Often, this
energy is not being used efficiently, so there is huge scope for
householders and businesses to alter this. Energy efficiency gives
greater environmental benefits but will also save you money in the
long run.
To help you to become more energy efficient and save money, the
Council works in partnership with the Yorkshire Energy Partnership.
Free, impartial and expert advice is available to householders and
small businesses on all energy efficient measures.
The advice team can help you with tips on how to save energy at
home, provide information on renewable alternatives and offer
advice on any grants or offers for which you maybe eligible. Advice
is also available for efficient motoring techniques and how to
reduce fuel consumption.
