Partnerships
Ryedale District Council is involved in a number of
partnerships throughout Yorkshire including:
Safer Ryedale
Safer Ryedale has been formed to bring together agencies in
the Ryedale area to address community safety, including crime and
anti social activity.
The partnership combines the resources, support and vision of
more than 25 agencies and local groups, ranging from the Police and
Ryedale District Council to bodies from the voluntary
sector.
The partnership is working towards sustaining and building
welcoming neighbourhoods, where community spirit is vibrant and
mutual trust exists between residents and the bodies that exist to
support and serve them.
For further information on the projects they are involved with
please visit the Safer Ryedale website.

Ryedale and North East Yorkshire Rural
Transport Partnership
Ryedale District Council are lead partners and host of the
Ryedale and North East Yorkshire Rural Transport Partnership.
The partnership has been established and involves
the development of community transport, such as,
- social car schemes
- minibus 'brokerages'
- Wheels to Work (moped loan) scheme
Community transport is an essential element of
transport provision in the district where conventional public
transport services cannot always meet the needs of people,
particularly those outside the principal transport
corridors.
One of our main projects of the partnership has been the
development of RYECAT (Ryedale Community Transport) which
incorporates Ryedale Car Scheme, Rural Miles Minibus Brokerage,
Wheels to Work, two minibuses, plus training capability for
volunteers into one 'social enterprise' with its own premises
and full time staff.
