Vacancies
The Council advertises its job vacancies in the local Job
Centre, local and national press and on the North Yorkshire Together
website.
We welcome applications from all people regardless of sex,
marital status, disability, age, ethnicity, sexuality or religious
belief. Disabled applicants are guaranteed an interview if they
meet the essential criteria for the post as outlined on the person
specification. We follow guidance from JobCentre Plus and use
the 'two ticks' disability symbol to highlight that we make five
commitments regarding recruitment, training, retention,
consultation and disability awareness. Further information on

Applicants wishing to apply for a post on a job share basis
are more than welcome to do so, and should explain this in a
covering letter with their application form or CV.
