Births

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. In this section you can find more information about how and where to register your new baby. You can also find out more information on other services such as baby naming, a civil alternative for those wishing to welcome the new baby into the family

If you wish for more information or assistance, you can contact the local registration offices who will be pleased to help you further.

The registration of births, in the Ryedale area, is carried out by North Yorkshire County Council at two registry offices,

These offices are only open part-time and registrations are carried out by appointment only. You should telephone in advance to make an appointment. This will reduce the waiting time and make sure you visiting the right office..
