No licence is required for massage and special treatments in the Ryedale area. Other treatments such as acupuncture, tattooing, ear and cosmetic piercing, electrolysis and semi-permanent skin colouring are dealt with under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.
