If you are thinking of making a claim for Council
Tax benefit find out if you are entitled to any Council Tax
discount, for example - Single Person Discount.
The full Council Tax is based on two or more persons residing
in a property. If only one person over the age of 18 resides, a 25%
discount is applicable. Every single occupier discount granted must
be supported by a signed Single Person Discount Application
Form.
Any discount you may be entitled to is deducted from your Council
Tax bill before any benefit entitlement is worked out.
